 On April 22, 2001, I played an after-hours gig in DC for my The Cherry Fund debut that changed the trajectory of my career forever. To this day, it remains one of my favorite parties I've ever played. It was the first time anyone in the Northeast heard my sound, or my name. The party was so lit that I can't find a single picture from its existence. All I have is the recording from the night. Thank you so much to everyone at CHERRY, and the one & only Moody Mustafa who has been the main reason I play during Cherry Weekend in DC for the latter part of the last twenty years, as we celebrate his birthday on Saturday afternoon of Cherry Weekend. We've missed you and are of course sad we can't be together this year, but we will all be back in 2022.!
